Michal Dahan has served as Abadi & Co.’s General Counsel since 2013 and is responsible for all of the Firm's legal affairs.
Michal began her career working as a commercial litigator for Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP where she represented and provided advice to leading financial institutions and major corporations in complex commercial litigation relating to commercial disputes, securities law, shareholder actions, bankruptcy matters, government investigations, and other aspects of corporate law. She also worked as a litigator for inMotion, Inc., an organization devoted to providing legal services to low income and under-served women primarily in the areas of matrimonial, family and immigration law. Michal later transitioned into the transactional world working as General Counsel to ACGM, Inc., an SEC and FINRA registered broker dealer.
Michal contributes an enriched perspective and broad insight into the law due to her experience beyond that of a transactional corporate attorney and also as litigator and academic. Over the course of her career she worked for Kiryat Ono Comparative Research Center as a researcher, editor and consultant and as an academic editor to the Shalom Comparative Law Center.
Michal is admitted to the NY State bar and is a certified FINRA arbitrator. She guest lectures at Ono Academic College.
She has been recognized for her pro bono work and is the recipient of 2008 Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and other professional organizations.
Michal holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated with honors, cum laude and Dean’s List, and B.S. in Communications from Boston University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has recently completed the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and is proficient in Hebrew.
